As most of our members are aware, Mr. David Woodward, past President of the NBRSA resigned at the NBRSA Group Nationals. This created a vacancy. Mr. Wayne Campbell, Vice President accepted the position as Interim President. Mr. Campbell is also the International Representative for the U.S. World Team. Since he will be running the team this year at the 2025 WBC-17 he felt he could not serve in this position and as President fulltime, but agreed to lead the organization until a new President could be found. This prompted the Board to approve a special election pursuant to the NBRSA bylaws.
The Board of Directors asked the nominating committee to seek out candidates to fill that vacancy. The committee reached out to all eligible candidates and Mr. Mike Conry, Gulf Coast Regional Director and Mr. Dan Zaccanti, Northwest Regional Director both accepted the nomination made by the Board. An election was held and Mr. Mike Conry was elected as the new NBRSA President, effective February 1, 2025. Mr. Conry resigned as Gulf Coast Regional Director. His Alternate, Mr. Kelly Morman also resigned his Alternate Director as he is unable to serve as Director at this time. According to the bylaws, the Board can appoint someone to fill that position for the remainder of the term. Mr. Joe Duke has been appointed by the Board to fill the remainder of Mr. Conry’s position as Gulf Coast Regional Director. Mr. Campbell has agreed to fulfill his elected position as Vice President.
