Meet our new Editor – Whitney Morman

Hey there, I’m the new Editor!

My name is Whitney Morman, I’m from Lubbock, Texas, and I’m the daughter of benchrest shooter and range owner Kelly Morman. Having grown up around the sport, I didn’t get involved until a few years ago when dad began hosting the Cotton Boll Shoot at our range, Llano Estacado Shooters Association.

I know (mostly) how to operate the Bughole program for registering shooters and inputting scores, I know how confusing printing labels for targets can be, and I’ve seen what all it takes to host a registered match. Let’s just say I’m familiar with the goings-on.

I’ve always been the ‘artsy’ and creative type. I work as a full-time Graphic Designer for Sign Design Graphics here in Lubbock; I’m a painter, a potter, and now an Editor. I’m a self-taught designer specializing in brand creation and layouts, and I spent the last four years finessing my skills working as the sole designer for a financial institution as well as completing freelance work for a handful of clients. I’ve created everything from business cards to billboards, built websites, and set up branded social media pages. The list is soon to include magazine editing.

I am very excited to have this opportunity, and I look forward to publishing the next issue.

Should you have match results to submit, letters to the Editor, or other magazine-related content, please email Editor.NBRSA@Outlook.com.

If you have images and files that exceed the allotted email file size, please send an email to the address above or call me (806-777-4365) and request a file upload link. I’ll be happy to send you a DropBox link to upload larger files all at once.
