NBRSA By-laws, Article V – Officers, Section 2.2 requires that in the year prior to a Presidential election, the President appoint a nominating committee consisting of two directors to construct a list of members eligible for the positions of President and Vice President. This committee is responsible for contacting all eligible candidates and determine their interest in seeking those offices.
Wayne Moore, Southeast Region Director, and Pat Reagin, Eastern Region Director were appointed to the committee.
All eligible candidates were contacted, and two candidates were identified. Mike Conry has been nominated to run for re-election as NBRSA President, and Wayne Campbell has been nominated to run for re-election as Vice President.
Mike Conry – Presidential Candidate
“Hello, I’m Mike Conry. I live in Midland Texas and have all my life. I joined the NBRSA in late 1998 and have been a member since that time. I was the Gulf Coast regional director for a little over three years, until the board of directors voted me in as president of the NBRSA a little over a year ago. I believe the true strength of this organization lies with the members who put in countless hours promoting the shooting disciplines that we serve at the local level, supported by strong regional directors in their respective regions. If I am chosen to serve as president for another term, my goal is to support these directors to the benefit of the shooters in their respective regions, the goal being to keep the NBRSA the best organization for group, score and long range shooting in the country.”
Wayne Campbell – – Vice Presidential Candidate
“I will be running for re-election for this position for a 4th term. My love for the sport and my competitiveness are the reasons I am willing to serve. I feel with over 30 years as a competitor and NBRSA member, a Board member serving the Southeast Region 3 terms, Chairman of the World Team since 2008, and I am completing my 3rd term as your Vice President, I am well qualified for the position. I am always open to all of our members ideas and when working with the Board I hope we can grow our organization. I appreciate all the support I have received from the members and look forward to serving the membership for another 2 years if elected.”
